What is personal information and why do I collect it?

Personal information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual. Examples of personal information I collect include names and email addresses.

This personal information is obtained via subscription of your email address and submission of your name and email address on the contact form. You do not have to provide your legal name.

Your information will not be shared to any third party. When you subscribe, I will personally see your email address and manually add it to my email list. I cannot guarantee that your email will be added since I am personally adding it. If you do not receive articles fortnightly on Sunday’s, I sincerely apologise and advise that you contact me to change this.

I collect your personal information for the purposes listed:

When you subscribe via email you will receive:

a)    my articles as soon as they are uploaded.

b)    important updates.

When you submit a contact form you will receive:

a)    an email reply from me

Your name is supplied solely to address you in the reply. By submitting a contact form, your email will not be added to the mailing list. Subscribed emails are not personalised. You will not receive spam. You may unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time by contacting me. I do not have an unsubscribe button and I cannot guarantee you will be unsubscribed as soon as you request to.

Sensitive Information

Sensitive information is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about such things as an individual's racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record or health information.

I have no reason to collect sensitive information. I will only collect what I have stated above if you provide it to me. This website does not use cookies.
